Dream team meets WAD leadership, pledges to double support diocesan projects

On Saturday, 14/03/2020, the Bishop together with Diocesan administration met the DREAM TEAM and members of the diocesan board of planning at Bweranyangi.
The DREAM TEAM is composed of some members of the WAD Kampala Chapter, who spearheaded the Bishops’ house construction and completed it in a short period without organizing fundraising events.
The purpose for the meeting was to see where they have reached with the Bishops’ House project, have a fellowship and thank God as the hands-on team, see more effort towards putting another shelter for a few Bishops’ staff members, and also have a look at what is in focus as far as development is concerned.
The team toured some part of Bweranyangi hill to see the ongoing projects. Here, the team appreciated the Bishop and his team for surpassing their expectations by doing many things in a short period.
The head of construction committee, Mr. Katushabe Winstone applauded the Bishop for building and emphasizing teamwork, the reason development is faster at the diocesan headquarters and other parts of the diocese. He pledged his support to the ongoing projects at the hill.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Yesse Mubangizi, the diocesan board of planning chairperson said that a master plan has been designed awaiting approval of the organs.
The diocesan head of laity, Mr Willis Bashaasha called for a common understanding of how the Church runs so that personal differences are not mixed with church business. He appealed to Christians to get on board and support the clergy and the Bishop for the betterment of West Ankole.
Bishop Twinomujuni gave a brief of what his administration is focusing on including the construction of state of the art diocesan hospital, babies’ home and others.
He intimated to the meeting that the ground is leveled for several projects to take shape.
Other speakers including the Kampala Chapter head of laity, Lay Canon Apollo Buzaare, Diocesan Chancellor, Mr Marvin Baryaruha called for cooperation and teamwork, effective communication and collective responsibility in all areas.
The team pledged full support to the leadership of the diocese and the ongoing projects and work towards a model diocese.
