Education Department

Rev. Bernard Mushabe, Head of Department.

The education department is decidedly the gate way to meaningful human growth and development in all aspects of human endeavor.

In recognition of this truth, the Education Department has placed a high premium on this priority area given its great sensitivity.

The area covered is part of the former greater Ankole region that now covers the present five districts of Bushenyi Sheema,Mitooma,Rubirizi and Buhweju, where there are numerous schools, institutes and colleges with great productive potential if properly galvanized.

West Ankole Diocese has 260 Primary Schools, 57 Secondary Schools, 5 technical and vocational institutes, One Farm Institute, One Primary Teachers College, One Theological Institution and One University.

The department is determined to ensure that the benefits of Education are duly applied as a tool and key to unlock development and enlightened opportunities at glance. This will answer the question of what the mission of the church is, to preach, teach and care (health) for total human development and well being.

The department focuses mainly on;

  • Improved academic performance
  • Moral uprightness and integrity
  • Uncompromised discipline
  • Proper interpersonal relationships among staff and all congregations.
  • Legally recognized marriages among staff and all congregations and glorify God. Focus on the family here attracts attention as the rank unit that society is built upon.

Everyone is encouraged to join hands altogether to fulfill our commission from Christ, which is to carry out Christ’s mission of Preaching, teaching, healing and nurturing believers so that they may have abundant life and build an evangelic, loving, caring, worshipping and peaceful and just community.
